Colorado Open Burning Forecast

Due to continuing concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic and its associated threat to people with heart and/or lung disease, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recommends reducing open burning at this time, if possible, to lower the potential for additional respiratory effects from smoke. If open burning is conducted, please be considerate of nearby residents, especially those who may be suffering from cardiac or respiratory ailments.

Those who have permits for Open Burning, that is burning of waste materials or vegetation outside, are not permitted to burn on Monday 6/14/2021 because of an OZONE ACTION DAY ALERT.

The next open burn forecast will be issued by 9 AM on Tuesday.

Always observe fire safety guidelines and check the National Weather service Fire Weather pages for local fire weather forecasts: http://www.weather.gov/bou/fire
